Weaving Strings begins from the sound produced by interweaving warp and weft.
Built on an aluminium-frame structure, the work uses fibre optics as interweaving lines, with LED strips, creating ever-shifting colour. The sound is electronically processed human voice — when the viewer touches the aluminium frame, they hear it.
It started as a digital concept, gradually evolved into a physical frame installation, and finally became an immersive art form that coexists with space.
I am used to observing and internalising for a long time before turning it into work. This piece grew slowly the same way: from a 'weaving' image on screen to a site the body can walk into.
